The Business Development Representative will provide B2B sales support for a client in the workman’s compensation/accident insurance industry. This position will include follow-up on inbound and outbound leads to identify and qualify sales opportunities. This is a high energy position requiring an individual who is extremely motivated, enthusiastic and results-driven. Attention to detail is a must.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage outbound & inbound customer phone calls as part of a team.
  • Analyze customer needs and qualifications to identify qualified opportunities
  • Deliver quotes and schedule follow-up meetings with qualified opportunities and manage prospects through the application process
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly activity and sales performance targets
  • Continuously brainstorm and refine ways to improve business processes and optimize the customer experience
  • Attend all company meetings and trainings as required

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sales/negotiation skills - getting through gate keepers when making outbound calls to commercial businesses
  • Skilled at asking open-ended probing questions
  • Ability to overcome objections, to think quickly when receiving customer resistance and not be discouraged
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Be able to multi-task
  • Strong technical skills and computer literacy including Google Apps (sheets, docs, calendar, chat & Gmail), preferred

 Position Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years prior sales/customer service experience required
  • Previous Insurance industry experience highly preferred
  • Ability to obtain necessary insurance industry licensing required
  • Be available and flexible for any shift during the hours of operation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Has developed a broad perspective to problems and can identify new, less obvious solutions
  • Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
  • Excellent attendance is expected
  • Prior Salesforce or similar CRM platform experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Compensation:

  • $14-$16/hour base plus commission.  Base compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications
